are many kinds of worms that disturb the dogs. Some of them are
tapeworm, roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and heartworm. Tapeworm is
easily identifiable because it comes out with stools and looks exactly
like pieces of dried rice grains. Roundworm may be present in the vomit
of a dog. The other worms are not that easy to catch hold of. But you
will definitely find a marked change in the behavior of your dog if it
contracts a worm infection. The dog will become anemic and might have
abdominal cramps. In most cases there is a severe weight loss and a loss
of appetite.

Heartworm is the deadliest of all the worms. It can be called even a
killer worm because it can be fatal to the dog. They are not even
detected in stools. Only if you do a blood test of your dog, you will
come to know about the existence of the worm in the dog’s body. You
should take the dog to a vet regularly for check up and medical test.
Sometimes worms even enter human body. Mostly children are affected
because they have a habit of putting their fingers in their mouth.
Sometimes soil is contaminated with the feces of a dog. The feces may
contain roundworms. Roundworms can enter human bodies through this
pathway. Hookworms can enter your skin directly and can even travel
under the skin causing rashes. Dogs can have hookworms on them. The
hookworms may move to sand or soil if the dog sits on the soil. Now even
if you sit on the same sand, you will get a hookworm under your skin.
Heartworms and tapeworms cannot get relocated to you from your pet dog.
